What is an Airline Reward Program (Soft Dollars)?
Travel management can be tough when it comes to saving money and pleasing your travelers at the same time. If you’re a mid-market client with smaller air spend, you may want to investigate airline reward programs, which are also known as Soft Dollar Programs. The best part is your company earns points while the employees continue to earn their individual frequent flyer miles!
American Airlines Business Extra Program
Your company will earn Business Extra points for travel on partnering airlines American Airlines, American Eagle, British Airways and Iberia, plus you can earn points on any code share flight (AA) operated by Finnair, Japan Airlines, or Qantas Airways. Your company will earn two Business Extra points for every $10 spent on eligible flights and fares.
Delta SkyBonus Program
Your company will earn SkyBonus points when traveling on Delta, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines or Alitalia. SkyBonus allows your company to earn points for every $1 spent. Employees will continue to earn individual miles in the SkyMiles program.
United PerksPlus Program
Your company will earn points when traveling on United, United Express, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines and All Nippon Airways. Points are awarded based on fare type and fare class, with different multipliers for flights from hub and non-hub markets and are awarded 1 point for each $1 USD in Qualifying Revenue.
